Oliver 770 Generator
I got the generator back from the repair shop today. Now to hook it up and pray for the best. It will be so great to have the Oliver 770 back online again.

So the plant that I went to for training on the Toyota Production System is in danger of closing. I spent a very valuable two week period in this plant in the late 90’s. Now, it seems, the plant is no longer needed.

Culture and Religion in Europe
I really wish I had time to study anything to an ample degree. This video gives hints of some of the dramatic changes that are happening in Europe. It gives a structure of thought that could be used with other approaches and introduces me to a writer that is well know but not known to me.
Ian Buruma is well represented on the net and in print. He spoke well in this discussion with Caryl Phillips on changes in european culture.
The technical aspects of this video are not well done but it is still worthwhile.

Rodents Love Engine Wires
Today, I got a $200 shock when my local GM mechanic pulled the top cover off my 2004 Buick LaSabre 3800 and found a mouse nest and a good bit of wire damage where you would expect nothing. A quick internet check revealed that the world has changed and harness insulation now includes soy oil which the little critters love. This seems to be an extensive problem so check your vehicles. My Buick is driven everyday so don't think that makes you safe.
